This course expands students' knowledge of mathematics related to statistics. Students will apply the methods of organizing and analyzing a large amount of information to solve probabilistic and statistical problems and conduct final investigations to improve integrated statistical concepts and skills. Students will learn theories and conduct research in the fields of biochemistry, metabolic processes, molecular genetics, homeostasis, and population dynamics. Grade 12 Chemistry
This course deepens students' understanding of chemistry through the study of organic chemistry, material structure and properties, energy change and reaction rate, chemical system balance, and electrochemistry. Students will further improve their problem solving and investigation skills. The focus is to explore the importance of chemistry in daily life and evaluate the impact of chemical technology on the environment.
Grade 12 Physics
This course enables students to deepen their understanding of physics concepts and theories. Students will continue to explore energy conversion and the forces that affect motion, and will study electricity, gravity, magnetic fields, and electromagnetic radiation. Students will also learn about the wave nature of light, quantum mechanics and special relativity. Students will further improve the ability of scientific investigation, for example, learn how to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze data related to various physical concepts and principles. Students will also explore the impact of physical technology applications on society and the environment.
Grade 12 Calculus
This course is based on students' previous experience with functions and their understanding of rate of change. Students will learn the geometric and algebraic representation of vectors in three-dimensional space, the representation of lines and surfaces, etc.; understand the rate of change, including the derivatives of polynomials, sine, exponent, rational and root functions; and apply these concepts and skills to real life middle. This course is for students who choose to pursue careers in science, engineering, economics and some business fields, including those who need to study college-level calculus, linear algebra or physics courses.
12th grade advanced functions
Students will learn the properties of polynomials, rational functions, logarithmic functions and trigonometric functions; improve function combination skills; improve students’ understanding of rate of change and their ability to solve practical problems.
