　　1.Academics: UVA has a reputation of academic rigor to uphold, and the competition is brutal. Everyone who gets into UVA is smart, involved, and ambitious. The classes are difficult and there is little time to learn for learning's sake. Most of my class work is for test grades.

There is a span competitive atmosphere when it comes to academics and achieving a 4.0 is sought after, but extremely difficult because of the high caliber of the classes. Its not ranked one of the top public schools in the nation for nothing, UVA deserves all the recognition it gets!

　　3.Majors: There's not a whole lot of variety in choice of majors at UVA. Schools like GMU and JMU have much better selections. Coming in undecided, this is something I wish I had explored further before choosing a school. I plan on getting an internship next summer, I think the process may be difficult, but that I will find one eventually. The hardest thing about internships is that most of them are unpaid, which sucks for a college student who is going to be in double digit debt when she graduates.

　　4.Majors: The College is great. I take classes is lots of different disciplines and feel like I'm getting a truly well-rounded education. The workload is reasonable. All of my teachers have been great. I try to avoid the huge intro-level classes because past experience has shown me that I struggle in these classes. Luckily, it is easy enough to find smaller classes that I can thrive in.

There are 3 main 1st year options and they each have their perks, new dorms, old dorms and gooch dillard. G-D doesn't have any perks in my opinion. Upperclass man housing is okay, and some are further than others.

There's always a lot of drinking, but mostly drinkers hurt themselves and not others. Theft is very low due to the Honor Code. There are a lot of unlit or sketchy areas off-grounds.

If you enjoy hikes and seeing nature there are many areas around UVA where you can go. It is located about 2 hours from Washington, DC and 1 Hour from Richmond so UVA students have convenient access to big cities as well.

　　20.Off-Campus Dining: The food in Charlottesville is amazing. It can be a little expensive at times, but it is totally worth it to treat yourself to nice meal every once in awhile to break the habit of eating dining food all the time.
