　　01 ) 帝國理工學院

　　整體上，帝國理工的PS要包含以下幾個方面的內容：

　　☆ the motivations for applying for the programme

　　☆ relevant academic and professional experience to date

　　☆ interests

　　☆ futurecareer aspirations

　　☆ as well as the ability to gain from and contribute to the College community.

　　此外，帝國熱門專業(yè)基本都有自己單獨的文書要求，大家申請前要到官網確認，看所申專業(yè)是否有特殊要求。

　　Career Statement，Quantitative Experience Statement，以及Programming, Computer Software Experience 都必不可少。Career Statement 中要清晰地表述你畢業(yè)以后想找什么類型的工作，你的哪些能力或技能使你勝任這份工作。Quantitative Experience Statement 要求列出本科所學課程中運算成份最高的至少5門課程。Programming/Computer Software Experience 要清晰地說明你是否有編程或者軟件應用開發(fā)方面的經驗，目前的水平處于什么等級等等。

　　02 ) UCL

　　UCL的PS同樣是因專業(yè)而異的，整體要求是：A personal statement outlining: their motivation for studying management and future career aspirations. Applicants should also show that they have actively taken steps to meet their career goals through activities such as work experience, internships, and/or volunteering. 不同專業(yè)也會有特殊的PS要求，申請前同樣要仔細確認。以 Data Science and Machine Learning MSc 為例：Applicants should ensure the personal statement is prefaced with a clarification of formal qualifications awarded, level studied and grades achieved in linear algebra; calculus; probability and statistics. 申請人要確保PS中寫明最終會拿到什么學位，學習的等級，以及線代、微積分、概率、統(tǒng)計這些課程的分數。

　　03 ) 華威大學

　　華威大學PS的整體內容應該圍繞著三個方面：

　　1)為什么對你所申的專業(yè)感興趣?

　　What are your reasons for choosing this specific course? Why do you want to undertake postgraduate study at this point in your academic or professional career?

　　2)已經在專業(yè)領域做了哪些準備?

　　This may be about your prior work experience or evidence of research or reading in the subject area. Your personal and academic skills, achievements and how they relate to the course are also good stories to tell.

　　3)你所申的課程對你以后的職業(yè)規(guī)劃有什么幫助?

　　What are your goals? What skills do you want to develop? How would this course prepare you for the future you envision for yourself?

　　華威WMG的PS要求就更細致了，比如要求PS控制在500-1000字，WMG非常非常喜歡簡練的PS，最好控制在500字左右。Most of the poor statements we see are too long, not too short. Although the application form states 1000 words for the SoP, we would very much prefer a more concise, to the point essay closer to 500 words.

　　04 ) KCL

　　KCL各個專業(yè)的要求略有不同，

　　以Accounting, Accountability & Financial Management MSc 為例：Maximum 4,000 characters: Please provide a personal statement that shows how your own interests are linked to the programme.

　　In this statement please describe your academic background, your reasons for applying for this programme and what you hope to gain from it, including any relevant experience, strengths, ambitions or research interests.

　　要求字數控制在4000字符以內，也就是600-700字左右，要體現你的興趣與所申專業(yè)之間的關聯(lián)。內容要包括學術背景、申請原因、想從該專業(yè)獲取的技能、過往的相關經驗、你的優(yōu)勢、愿景、研究興趣等等。

　　05 ) 愛丁堡大學

　　愛大的PS內容需要圍繞這幾個方面來寫：

　　1) What skills, qualities and experiences have prepared you to undertake this programme?

　　2) What value do you think you can add to the learning community as part of an internationally diverse group?

　　3) What impact do you hope to make in your future career, and how will this programme contribute to your aspirations?

　　簡而言之就是你已經有哪些技能或經驗，你能給愛大帶來什么，以及這個專業(yè)能為你的職業(yè)和抱負帶來什么。注意文書的字數限制，系統(tǒng)中將文書分為兩部分，Personal Statement 和 Relevant Knowledge/Training Skills，兩部分分別是3500字符，相當于每部分500字左右。寫文書時，注意把自己的課外活動和經驗與其他內容分開來寫，免得遞交申請的時候臨時去拆分。

　　06 ) 曼徹斯特大學

　　曼大大部分專業(yè)都有自己的文書要求，一般要求500字以內或一頁A4紙以內。以Master of Accounting 為例：Your statement of purpose should cover the areas outlined below and be one page A4: Tell us why you are interested in the MSc Accounting course at Alliance MBS and how the course will impact on your future.List any other accounting courses or qualifications you have taken in addition to your undergraduate degree.Describe what makes you an outstanding applicant and describe your potential to contribute to all aspects of the course.會計專業(yè)的SoP要求一頁A4紙以內，包含三個方面的內容：專業(yè)興趣以及該專業(yè)對你未來的影響除了本科課程，還學過哪些會計課程你有哪些突出點，能為曼大的專業(yè)貢獻什么

　　07 ) 伯明翰大學

　　伯明翰大學的PS要求：Personal statement, approximately 5000 characters, explaining why you are interested in studying on your chosen programme. This can be uploaded to the personal statement section in PDF or Microsoft Word format. Alternatively, you can type this within the application portal.5000字符左右，大約600-700字，要解釋為何對所選專業(yè)感興趣。部分專業(yè)有單獨的PS要求，以MSc Public Management 為例，PS有如下要求：

　　1) Demonstrate your interest and understanding of the Public Management programme (please check the course contents on the course page.)

　　2)Discuss why you are applying to the Public Management programme.

　　3)What you hope to achieve once you have graduated with your Masters in Public Management.

　　4)Discuss how you think the programme will help you achieve their ambitions.

　　5)Where relevant, discuss any experience of receiving or working within government services and organisations.

　　08 ) 利茲大學

　　利茲大學各專業(yè)對PS的要求不同，部分學院不要求提供PS，且不審核PS，比如計算機學院。傳媒學院內MA Film, Photography and Media 需要提供一個supporting statement，說明自己的專業(yè)興趣已經在專業(yè)領域已有的經驗等。還需要提供一份作品集，體現專業(yè)實力。其他所有MA專業(yè)不需要提供PS，也不需要推薦信，但是可以提供一份英文簡歷。定好專業(yè)后，一定先確認文書要求，是否要PS，是否要推薦信，需要幾封，是否需要英文簡歷等等。以Fashion, Enterprise and Society MA為例：PS要根據網申表中提出的問題來寫，主要回答“why you wish to study this particular course and your future career plans” 為什么想學這個專業(yè)，以及你的職業(yè)規(guī)劃是什么這兩個問題。

　　09 ) 格拉斯哥大學

　　格拉斯哥大學部分專業(yè)有PS要求，包括字數要求和內容要求。以MSc Creative Industries and Cultural Policies為例：You are required to submit a personal statement of around 500 words explaining why you want to undertake the MSc in Creative Industries and Cultural Policy at Glasgow, in addition to an academic transcript, references, and linguistic proficiency documentation.要求PS 500字左右，解釋為什么想申這個專業(yè)，也就是說，專業(yè)興趣在PS中所占的比重要大一些。

　　10 ) 卡迪夫大學

　　卡迪夫大學是對PS最嚴格的大學之一，尤其是傳媒相關專業(yè)，PS寫得不對的，要么要求重寫，要么直接拒絕，后果很嚴重。舉幾個例子：

　　1) MA Digital Media and Society

　　PS中要求表現對數字媒體和互聯(lián)網在社會中的作用這一類課程表現出明顯的興趣;探索當代數字社會的機遇和挑戰(zhàn);觀察、分析和調查當前的文化變革，數字化和數據化背景下的政治和經濟。

　　2) MA International Journalism

　　PS中必須明確表現出對新聞和媒體領域的興趣，以及在該領域工作的意愿。包含以下三個部分：Tell us about your interest in journalism, including any experience you may have.

　　What do you want to achieve in the world of journalism?

　　Why do you want to study at Cardiff University?

　　3)MA International Public Relations and Global Communications Management

　　PS中必須明確表現出對廣告、傳播、市場、媒體及公共關系領域的興趣，以及在這些領域工作的意愿。

　　4) MA Journalism, Media and Communications

　　PS中要求表現對新聞和媒體 (包括公民、種族、性別、種族和階級) 如何在各種社會、文化、經濟和政治背景下運作這類學術研究的興趣。

　　5) MA Political Communication

　　PS中要求表現對政治、政府以及公共事務的強烈興趣。
