　　AThe MSc Logistics and Operations Management can be conceived of as a progression degree with applicants gaining their degree in related fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain and/or Operations management, or a conversion degree where a previous degree in a related field such as Engineering, Business/Management disciplines, Computer Science, Economics, Trade, Finance, etc. can be complimented by gaining a degree in logistics and operations management: if this is the case a strong case for motivation to undertake the MSc Logistics and Operations Management needs to be made. In exceptional cases students can be considered with other non-related degrees e.g. English, Physics, Social Sciences, Maths or Humanities, particularly where there is evidence of significant professional experience in a relevant logistics/operations management occupation. Non-graduates with approved professional qualifications or significant relevant work experience may also be considered under certain circumstances.

　　Candidates will normally be graduates from a recognised university with a minimum of a 2:1: a sliding scale of specific conditions in terms of academic requirement, based around this 2:1 level, is also in place as the admissions criteria for most international recruitment markets.

　　Candidates will normally be graduates from a recognised university in related fields such as transport, engineering, business/management disciplines, geography, law, social sciences, maths and humanities.

　　In exceptional cases, candidates can be considered with other degrees e.g. English or Physics, particularly where there is evidence of significant professional experience in a relevant occupation. Non-graduates with approved professional qualifications or significant work experience may also be considered under certain circumstances. Maritime Policy and Shipping Management students will likely have Ocean Going - Master Mariner or a relevant Seafarer qualification in accordance with criteria following International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Convention on Standards for Training Certification and Watch-keeping (STCW), instead of a degree.
