　　UCL的PS同樣是因?qū)I(yè)而異的，整體要求是：

　　A personal statement outlining: their motivation for studying management and future career aspirations.

　　Applicants should also show that they have actively taken steps to meet their career goals through activities such as work experience, internships, and/or volunteering.

　　不同專業(yè)也會有特殊的PS要求，申請前同樣要仔細(xì)確認(rèn)。以 Data Science and Machine Learning MSc 為例：

　　Applicants should ensure the personal statement is prefaced with a clarification of formal qualifications awarded, level studied and grades achieved in linear algebra; calculus; probability and statistics.

　　申請人要確保PS中寫明最終會拿到什么學(xué)位，學(xué)習(xí)的等級，以及線代、微積分、概率、統(tǒng)計(jì)這些課程的分?jǐn)?shù)。

　　Maximum 4,000 characters: Please provide a personal statement that shows how your own interests are linked to the programme.

　　In this statement please describe your academic background, your reasons for applying for this programme and what you hope to gain from it, including any relevant experience, strengths, ambitions or research interests.

　　要求字?jǐn)?shù)控制在4000字符以內(nèi)，也就是600-700字左右，要體現(xiàn)你的興趣與所申專業(yè)之間的關(guān)聯(lián)。內(nèi)容要包括學(xué)術(shù)背景、申請?jiān)?、想從該專業(yè)獲取的技能、過往的相關(guān)經(jīng)驗(yàn)、你的優(yōu)勢、愿景、研究興趣等等。

　　華威大學(xué)PS的整體內(nèi)容應(yīng)該圍繞著三個(gè)方面：

　　1)為什么對你所申的專業(yè)感興趣?

　　What are your reasons for choosing this specific course? Why do you want to undertake postgraduate study at this point in your academic or professional career?

　　2)已經(jīng)在專業(yè)領(lǐng)域做了哪些準(zhǔn)備?

　　This may be about your prior work experience or evidence of research or reading in the subject area. Your personal and academic skills, achievements and how they relate to the course are also good stories to tell.

　　3)你所申的課程對你以后的職業(yè)規(guī)劃有什么幫助?

　　What are your goals? What skills do you want to develop? How would this course prepare you for the future you envision for yourself?

　　華威WMG的PS要求就更細(xì)致了，比如要求PS控制在500-1000字，WMG非常非常喜歡簡練的PS，最好控制在500字左右。

　　Most of the poor statements we see are too long, not too short. Although the application form states 1000 words for the SoP, we would very much prefer a more concise, to the point essay closer to 500 words.

　　愛丁堡大學(xué)

　　愛大的PS內(nèi)容需要圍繞這幾個(gè)方面來寫：

　　1) What skills, qualities and experiences have prepared you to undertake this programme?

　　2) What value do you think you can add to the learning community as part of an internationally diverse group?

　　3) What impact do you hope to make in your future career, and how will this programme contribute to your aspirations?

　　簡而言之就是你已經(jīng)有哪些技能或經(jīng)驗(yàn)，你能給愛大帶來什么，以及這個(gè)專業(yè)能為你的職業(yè)和抱負(fù)帶來什么。

　　注意文書的字?jǐn)?shù)限制，系統(tǒng)中將文書分為兩部分，Personal Statement 和 Relevant Knowledge/Training Skills，兩部分分別是3500字符，相當(dāng)于每部分500字左右。

　　寫文書時(shí)，注意把自己的課外活動和經(jīng)驗(yàn)與其他內(nèi)容分開來寫，免得遞交申請的時(shí)候臨時(shí)去拆分。
